2020 Season Update

Dance Team Fans and Friends –

First off, THANK YOU for 8 years of fun covering dance team in Minnesota.  2020 is an unprecedented time, and I’ve chosen not to actively cover the 2020 condensed season here at MNHSDanceTeam.com.  While I would never say never to covering individual events or adding more content in future years, I’m enjoying my present responsibilities on the board of directors of the National Dance Team Coaches Association and building a new life in Colorado.

For at least all of 2020 and 2021, this site will be hosted for you to use as an archive.  There are years of scores, schedules, rules, articles and guides for you to keep using.  Should I decide not to pay hosting fees in the future, that information will “go somewhere” you can access.

Sites that are not active tend to be subject to hackers and attacks.  I am aware that searching via Google for this location redirects you to spam.  Be assured, the actual site address is safe and if you go directly to mnhsdanceteam.com – you will not have these issues.  I am uncertain as to if I will correct this problem in the future as it is not financially prudent at this time.

I’d also like to thank my many sponsors and supporters over the years – this would not have happened without them.  I especially want to thank my first ever sponsors over at Satin Stitches who saw what this could be and gave me an opportunity to try something never before seen in sports coverage.  Mark Henderson over at Dirty Dog Productions also brought me great content for the podcast and has been helping me agonize over music cuts for 20 years.

Keep posting scores.  Keep reporting to your newspapers.  Keep dance team a sport and treat it that way.  Thanks Minnesota Dance Team – it’s been an amazing journey from my first state tournament in 1998 to now, it’s been the thing I’ve spent the most time on across all my life.  Thanks for all the memories, and I hope to see you all dancing again soon.
