Section leaderboards have been updated for 2017 sections! I’ve taken a team’s best average score from 1/14 onward to create a “leaderboard” heading into sectional rounds this weekend and next. This is 100% for entertainment and fun. Every single year this is “wrong” when it comes to picking who advances in sections – so just relax and remember this is flawed. Part of me loves doing this, part of me hates it. For one, it’s always good to point out that most of the scores we’re comparing in this chart are from entirely different meets, and different judges opinions. Some lower scoring teams just beat a higher scoring team in their last invitational in a lot of cases this year. My inner judge voice would say – ranks get you the win, not your points. There are always a few teams who don’t have a public score after 1/14- and in those cases I use the last score I have for their status. Hardly a true comparison – but fun to see anyways. Enjoy and happy sections week to all!
