Section 1AA: Cannon Falls has had no trouble making itself at home on top of the AA chart, with Holy Angels leading the way in jazz. (*score correction made 1/2/14 to Austin’s jazz) Should be fun to see what happens here with Benilde, Chaska, and Faribault moved out.

Section 2AA: This group will be a shootout between North Suburban Conference rivals Totino Grace and Benilde. TG isn’t going to take this season lightly and Benilde has stepped it up in both kick and jazz. Chisago Lakes and Fridley might be having it out for 3rd in jazz this year since there won’t be room for both at state.

The “western” section is always a mess this time of year, with 5 teams within 2 points of each other. Every time I try to see a potential leader here I’m wrong, so let the flip-flop begin! I have a feeling sections will be down to one rank point (or less!) between each top placer.

The northern powerhouse teams will be tuning up their moves in an effort to make a big presence at state this year. Sauk Rapids, Rocori, and St. Cloud Cathedral are all tight in both styles, and I don’t think this leaderboard will stay static for long. Those 80s will start coming out more often for this group come January.
