Invitational season is finally here! Starting tomorrow, the wrapping comes off a lot of routines and we get some serious scores to add to the bank for the season. I’m sure there will be a lot of surprises and wow moments to go around – make sure you are getting out to watch some local dance team action! Lets take a look at whats on deck:
Maple Grove Invitational: The traditional MG meet will be a classic and fun event again this year, with a nice showing of all 3 classes. AAA will feature some north metro and section 4AAA teams, including a trip down from the Brainerd team for the first time this year. AA will be a mix of 2 and 3 AA mostly, including state participants from Mound, Fridley, and Orono. Class A will be PACT, Crosby, Pierz, and Concordia Academy to get that class started for the year.
Burnsville Invitational: The “Spark” Invitational should get things lit up with debuts from the host Burnsville and a few strong groups from Forest Lake, Sauk Rapids, Holy Family, and Holy Angels. Should be a diverse mix in that AAA section – anything could really happen here.
Wabasha Kellogg Mini-Meet: This small school, mostly kick, mini meet will have debuts from SE area teams from Winona, St. Charles, Southland, and Goodhue, along with the Star Dancers.
Eagan Invitational: The evening nightcap will be over at Eagan if you wanted to check something out after your day has ended. The state participants Simley and Faribault teams will join Eagan and they will also have Mayer Lutheran (class A), Anoka, and Farmington. This one should be a lot to see in a short meet.
Shakopee Invitational: No schedule provided at the time of press.
